After you relax with a cup of tea in our waiting room, Dr Caron will chat with you for a little while about what’s bringing you in.

Together you’ll discuss what the session will look like. Dr Caron will show you to your room, where a fresh set of loungewear will be ready for you to change into. Once you’re ready you’ll open the door and lie down on the heated table and begin relaxing.

Dr Caron will come in and start working with you. This starts off with checking your pulse and your tongue, and a bit of palpation. During this time the two of you will chat a bit more and see if you can get a bit deeper into the problem. Once this last diagnostic period ends you’ll get your first pins.

As each pin is placed we’ll make sure that you’re comfortable and that everything is feeling good. Depending on what you need we may apply oils, liniments, or do some massage.

After this is completed, Dr Caron will step out of the room and give you time to rest, letting the pins do their work.

While you have a nap we’ll prepare your herbs.

Once the session is complete we’ll remove the needles and give you a few minutes to change. When you step out the room Dr. Caron will be waiting with your herbs. You’ll chat for a minute about your experience, and discuss what comes next.

You then float out of the office with your just-for-you herbal formula.

There’s not too much you need to do to get the best session possible.

We recommend having a snack before coming in, it’s best to be neither full nor hungry. Good hydration also helps.

We provide comfortable clothing, so whether you’re coming in a suit or a sundress we’ve got you covered.

For new patients, make sure you fill out all paperwork in advance so that you get the most time for your session.

For those who’ve never tried it, the feeling of acupuncture can be very surprising. Our pins are so thin that most patients barely feel anything.

When stimulating the acupuncture points, each point has its own sensations. Some feel heavy, some feel tingly, some feel pokey. With our extensive experience, these sensations are pretty predictable, meaning that we can tailor your session to your preferences. We go the extra mile to make sure that you get the results you need. Most of our patients fall asleep with the pins in!

While we don't process insurance directly, we can help you get the most out of your plan! We provide detailed receipts (superbills) with the necessary coding for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Here's how it works:

• Contact your insurance provider: They can tell you if your plan covers acupuncture and for what specific conditions.

• Schedule your appointment: We're happy to answer any questions you have before booking.

• Receive a superbill after your treatment: This detailed receipt has everything your insurance company needs.

• Submit the superbill to your insurance company: They'll determine your reimbursement amount based on your plan.

Many patients are pleasantly surprised to find they can get reimbursed for a portion of their treatment costs.
