Acupuncture deals with a wide range of injuries and conditions. For over two thousand years acupuncture was the primary means of treatment for illness in Asia before European medical influence in Japan, China, and Vietnam during the early 20th century. In China, acupuncture combined with herbs and Tui Na were treatments of choice, while in Japan separate clinics still exist for herbal, acupuncture, or moxa therapies alone or in combination. In my clinic you will find a wide variety of needle techniques and styles. One of the benefits of having graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture is extensive training in the acupuncture of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese needle techniques, as well as Acupuncture Physical Medicine, a 20th-century American style developed by Mark Seem and geared towards trigger point release and myofascial pain and dysfunction.
Combined with Qi Gong exercises to rehabilitate injuries and balance the body’s energies, and the dietary therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a wide range of treatment and rehabilitation is available which you can take with you long after leaving the clinic.
